Hey There 👋, I'm Alex

What I do
I design user experiences that feel intentional — clean in their structure, soft in their tone, and grounded in what people actually need.
My background is in communication design and illustration, but these days I focus on UX and product design: structure, flow, behavior, and how things come across.
How I got here
I’ve always worked with stories — as a kid walking through woods with my dad, chewing his ear off, later through illustration and editorial design, and now through systems people use every day.
I studied communication design at AID Berlin. During my studies I found myself more drawn to flows, logic, and usability than layout alone. Since then I’ve worked across UX, product design, branding, and content.
Values
My approach is shaped by a few things I care deeply about:
- Clarity — not just visual clarity, but clarity of purpose
- Empathy — thinking through how something feels, not just how it works
- Narrative — every interaction tells a story, and I try to make it a good one
- Restraint — I prefer making things lighter, simpler, more quiet
On dyslexia
I’m dyslexic — I say this up front because it’s part of how I think and design.
It’s why I value clarity. Why I try to explain things in ways that are easy to follow. Why I don’t assume people will just “get it.”
It’s also why I love narrative logic — how something unfolds, how context builds, how meaning lands.
I’ve written more about it, and why I view it as a strengths, on my blog.
What I’m looking for
I’m currently open to junior UX and product design roles (freelance or full-time).
Also happy to hear about work in branding, visual design, or anything adjacent — especially if the team is thoughtful and the work is meaningful.
